Basepin offers onsite project staff to assist in the full coordination of your project.

Project coordination consulting

  • Basepin Solutions provides consulting advice to the client on ways to effectively manage project coordination. Consultation includes means and methods of setting up project specific coordination tools that address the client's need for a pre-construction coordinated design.
  • Basepin Solutions will work with the client and the client's coordination team to plan, schedule and implement the MEPS coordination protocol.
  • Web collaboration tools: Basepin consultants provide GoToMeeting and VoIP technology that eliminates travel costs and unproductive time for design and construction team members.
  • Superplots: electronic architectural and structural drawings, provided by others, are scrubbed of unnecessary information to provide the backgrounds for mechanical, electrical and plumbing system coordination. Each system is displayed in a unique color for clarity.
  • MEPS Coordination external reference files: mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other critical building systems are prepared per the protocol, and are overlaid on the design architectural and structural background drawings.
  • MEPS coordination issues tracking: system conflicts discovered by the MEPS coordination team are tagged in the Superplots and tracked in real time in the Basepin Issues Manager.
  • Conflict Resolution: system conflicts are discussed by the coordination team and divided into two categories.
    • Design Conflicts: conflicts that must be resolved by the project design team. These are documented under RFI, ASI or other contractual change formats.
    • Coordination Conflicts: conflicts that trade contractors resolve without changing system design criteria. Solutions are recorded in the issues log and the external reference drawings are updated to show the changes.
  • Coordination Sign-off: coordinated Superplots are signed digitally by each coordination team member, who accepts responsibility for their work. Archive copies are posted to the Basepin ShareFile system for all team members.
  • On-Site CAD and Projection: Basepin provides live on-site CAD to support the coordination team. Meeting discussions are documented in the Superplots, and any design or external reference files may be opened during the meetings to support the coordination process.
  • Connectivity: Basepin provides field Netbooks with air card technology that gives team members real-time access to issues tracking, project documents and punchlist activities.

CAD drafting and plotting services

  • These services include using AutoCAD to produce electronic drawings that are based on the engineering designs and specifications provided by others.
  • Navis 3D clash detection services for projects using BIM technology
  • CAD drawings may be delivered to the client in electronic or hard copy format. Hard copy drawings are plotted with a large format color plotter compatible with AutoCAD.
  • Electronic drawings may be delivered to the client via compact disk, email or by posting to the client's FTP site.
  • All drawings produced by Basepin are intended to be checked for accuracy by the client or the client's representatives.

Construction Management Consulting

  • We provide advice for clients about construction business practices and issues. The client's needs determine the scope of these services.

Construction Closeout Services

  • We provide the Basepin on-line Punchlist Manager system. Owners, Architects, General Contractors, Subcontractors and Suppliers all participate in using the web-hosted database to identify, assign, track and document punchlist items. Work may all be done in the field electronically.
  • End the frustration of spreadsheet file management. All that is required to participate is email and an internet browser.
